It's A Hemi Weekend

Not long ago, I got a new Jeep. Actually, it's just like the old one, same make and model, except newer and a different color. Well, there is one big difference; and that is that it contains a "hemi" engine. I'm not quite sure what a hemi is, all I know is that it's supposed to be "super-charged".
Much like the hemi engine, this weekend will be "super-charged" since I am shooting a double-header, both Friday and Saturday weddings. Friday night, I will be shooting at the amazing Lantern Court for the wedding of Meridith and Andrew and Saturday, I will return to Mentor for the union of Gina and Anthony.
I had the pleasure of shooting an engagement session for Anthony and Gina last November and here are a couple of pics. Congratulations to both couples- here's to a "Hemi- Weekend!"

An Oberlin Outing

When shooting engagement sessions, I always tell my couples how important it is to select locations that are significant and meaningful to the couple. I also encourage my couples to participate in an activity of some sort and to allow us to tag along, with our cameras, of course! Here are a few images from last week's engagement shoot of Shena and Julius. Both Shena and Julius are graduates of Oberlin College and when they suggested we travel there for the shoot, I was thrilled! I was even more thrilled when I saw what a natural Shena was in front of the camera and as you can see from the images, she is absolutely stunning! Thank you Julius and Shena for the great time at Oberlin!

The Most Traveled Groom

Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Karri and Sam. Although the event was held in Painsville, Ohio, Sam definately takes the prize for the most traveled groom. Just a few short weeks prior to his wedding day, Sam traveled for the first time to the United States from India to marry the love of his life, Karri. It was a cross cultural event, with elements of both the American and Indian heritages. And for those of us with a love of Indian food, we were absolutely in heaven as we sampled an amazing buffet of traditional Indian fare. So fabulous!

Here are a few pics featuring just the sweetest bride Karri, and her new husband Sam.

The Big Game

I can't tell you how exciting it is for me to follow each couple on their wedding journey. Through the ins and outs of the planning process (which often includes an engagement photo shoot and planning meetings, e-mails etc.), I get to know many of our couples well. In fact, I have been fortunate to have developed many long term friendships that have lasted through the years.

The day before a wedding, I almost always sit back to reflect not only on my journey with each couple, but also stop to say a quick prayer for their exciting road ahead. The day before a wedding is a fabulous day of anticipation, hopes, and excitement.

With that being said, I am so excited to see one of my couples, Amy and Jonah finally reach their "Big Game". Congratulations Amy and Jonah- tomorrow is your MVP moment!

A Wedding "Thriller"

Dance choreography is becoming more and more popular at weddings. Many couples are hiring dance instructors to prepare steps for the couples first dance and they can really be showstoppers! Here are a couple of images from Toni and Tim's wedding displaying their first dance moves. Their routine was compiled of many popular dances which included the original choreography from Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video. Bravo!

The Early Bird

You know what they say, "the early bird get the worm"; or at least the photo! Tomorrow, I will be shooting the wedding of Teresa and Gary and since their ceremony starts at noon, it's an early day for all involved. We first met Teresa and Gary last July, when their planning was in the very early stages- and later shot their engagement session in Columbus, where Teresa and Gary met as students of OSU. Here are a couple of shots from that session-

Go O-H-I-O and Congrats Teresa and Gary!

These Are the Moments

I love these moments! This image was taken at the wedding of Tim and Toni last Saturday - Dr. Tim is REALLY having a great time, as it should be! At the end of the reception, Tim requested a photo with me and since I aim to please, here it is. How does the song go..."these are the moments, I'll remember all my life." You go, Dr. Tim!

Island Rock God

Girls- Meet Ray Fogg, the self proclaimed "Island Rock God". This promotional photograph was one that we shot at Put-In Bay this week, where Ray frequently entertains at many of the local establishments. His comedic style and off-color humor makes him perfect for bachelor or bachlorette parties. You can check out his schedule at http://www.rayfogg.net/.

Tomorrow, I have the pleasure of shooting the wedding of Karri and Sam. Sam just arrived for the first time two weeks ago from India. They will be featuring some Indian customs at their wedding and I am looking forward to it. Happy Wedding Eve Karri and Sam!

A Natural Woman

Here is a sneak peak from last Saturday's wedding of Danielle and Dieken. I loved to photograph Danielle because she is such a natural with the camera. Her sister shared with me that Danielle had taken lots of dance classes and it really shows in the images. She just has a natural flow with her posing - what we photographers refer to as the "S Curve". Thank you Danielle and Dieken for allowing us to be a part of your celebration and congratulations!

Anticipation

After a lot of planning and anticipation, Toni and Tim will finally tie the knot tomorrow. There are many details to their wedding that will make it unique such as a vodka station, many featured family dances, and their Italian city themed tablescapes. Also, Toni and Tim will not have a cake cutting since neither of them are very fond of cake. Instead, they will celebrate that portion of the ceremony by exchanging strawberries dipped in a chocolate fountain. Here are a couple of images form both their engagement session and Toni's bridal session.

Happy Wedding Eve Toni and Tim! The anticipation will be so worth it...
